witches stew

last week on roald dahl stunt blogging, we had a giant feast. this week, we'll get a bit witchy with some witches' stew from, unsurprisingly, the witches*

ok, witches stew is a bit misleading as the cookbook* uses these ingredients

to make a pea soup, not a stew but, whatever. work with me here, people.

have i mentioned how i have no magic touch when it comes to working with blenders?

because i don't. where blenders are concerned, i am a squib in the kitchen.

i am a bit more adept at straining, thankfully, and i had a big ol' pile of pea pulp to prove it!

this pea soup looks all well and good but the book left out one major ingredient.

that's right! formula 86! it's a good thing that i happened to have about 450 doses left in this bottle!

the great thing about formula 86 is that it's virtually tasteless. in fact, leff didn't notice anything out of the ordinary when he tucked into the soup.

but about 10 minutes later (i didn't set my alarm clock to have a super long delayed reaction when i made my formula) and POOF!!!

i love it when a plan comes together.

next week on roald dahl stunt blogging:  bogtrotter cake! will we be able to finish it all? will a plate be broken over leff's head? tune in next week on this same bat channel!

*links will take you to amazon. i am an amazon affiliate. should you purchase the witches or roald dahl's revolting recipes through these links, i will receive monetary compensation.
