we have a verdict!

for those of you who care, i got the results from my mri today. two bulging discs in the lumbar region, one of which is putting pressure on my sciatic nerve. hooray!

as mentioned previously, i plan to not go on about this at length. i have an appointment with a neurosurgeon next week to see where we go from here. i might post an update about that, i might not.

no, i'm not planning on getting surgery. i'd rather explore other options.

anyway, i've got some catching up to do on suspect and fugitive. and since i've been given the green light to walk for short periods of time, i'll be getting out of my house. now THAT is something i'm excited about!

I care!
Good luck- I have sciatic issues, too. I know how much they suck.

oh no! i'm sorry to hear that, crystl!!

i have a friend who was able to cure her sciatica issues with acupuncture. do you think that would be something that could help you?

also, thanks. i'm not thrilled with the diagnosis but at least i now know what i'm working with.

I've done chiro but not acupuncture. At the moment, my yoga practice is taking care of the problem(which is good, 'cause my chiropractor was an asshole). I think acupuncture would be my next course of action, if it flared up again. I hope you're on the mend, soon.

oh no! i'm sorry you had an ass of a chiropractor! for some reason, that seems to be a trend!

i'm glad that yoga is helping you! when i see the neurosurgeon on monday, i'll her if that might be something that could help.

i just get kinda' creeped out when surgery is mentioned as a possible solution. i mean, i'm hoping that my responding to the anti inflamatories is a good sign!
