john mcnally reads from "america's report card"

ok, so i'm looking at upcoming to see what's going on in town and when i saw this:



all i could think of was this guy sitting at the front of the room intoning "c....b....d.......f....good penmanship..."

hee hee!

Yeah, I see your point. I'm no marketing genius, that's for sure. John's a friend of mine and I wanted to make sure west coast readers knew he was coming to the area. I hope you went to the reading and bought America's Report Card. He's a great reader and it's a fine novel.

no, i understand. it's hard to write about readings when the title of the book is something that is, uh, readable. like, and this is a bad example, if so and so was reading from "the book of love", i'd see them sitting in front of an audience chanting "how do i love thee, let me count the ways! one one thousand, two one thousand", etc.

i've heard it's a good book but i haven't gotten around to reading it yet.
