a whole lot of nothing

as promised yesterday, i did nothing on sunday. i was quite bookish



in that i reread most of sputnik sweetheart (lovely) and skimmed most of dispatches from blogistan (no comment).

i also watched "katakuri-ke no kôfuku"/"the happiness of the katakuris". i've been watching a lot of takashi miike films lately. the fact that the same man who directed "the katakuris" and wrote "yôkai daisensô"/"the great yokai war" is also the same person responsible for "ichi the killer" blows my mind!

anyway, "the katakuris" is goofy and particularly awesome. there's a lot of death, a lot of campy singing and for some reason a bit of claymation. oh, and a volcano. i recommend it very highly.

and that was sunday. boring but essential at times. i'll leave you with two random photos from around the house.
